As far as I am concerned don’t completely sustain the statement saying that the more we become Europeans, the more we forget who we are.
The European Union is a political and economic community of twenty-seven states. The members of this treaty are united in case of war and poverty. They sustain each other when are in need.
First of all, even if the EU is allowing the circulation of people from state to state without a passport the country where a person was born is remaining the state where they belong.
Second of all a state once entered in the Union it is preserving its own traditions, religion ,language an history. This way the identity of a country it is maintained.
Third of all, becoming Europeans ,does not mean that we think of us that we are superiors to others. Once entered in the Union we start rising our level of progress with hard work. After reaching a good level of wellbeing we must begin helping other countries. We must never forget who we are if we want to maintain a sustained progress.
In conclusion a state, member of the European Union, is a strong country that can base on the help of other members. They cohabite but they never stop to take pride of their identity.
